Scholarship Season

As the end of the hockey season draws near it time for the seniors of the Class of '08 are busy preparing for their future continuing education. The GSL, Mass Hockey, and Al and Barbara Wright have a few ways of helping with the upcoming tuition bill for that continued education.

The GSL Scholarship

The Greater Springfield League (GSL) sponsored by the Springfield Falcons is proud to announce that the GSL will be awarding scholarships to seniors graduating later this spring. The scholarships will be presented to youth hockey players who have participated for a minimum of three years in the GSL any time from Mite through Midget, the youth does not currently need to be actively playing hockey. The other two requirements is to be graduating from an accredited secondary school and has been either accepted or enrolled in a form of higher learning beyond high school.

Mass Hockey Scholarship Award

Massachusetts Hockey is pleased to present, three $2,000.00 stipends, to be awarded in June to current or former Massachusetts Youth Hockey Players. The main basis of the Award will be evidence of good sportsmanship.

Wright Fund Scholarship Award

The Wright Fund Scholarwhip will be award annually to a District 6 youth hockey player. The numbers of scholarships awarded and the amount of the scholarship will be determinded annually by the amount available in the fund.
