Tickets for the Troops night – Friday, February, 8th

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, are proud to announce that they have partnered with the Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership to Break out the Blue for the Troops, on Friday, February 8, 2008 at the MassMutual Center.

“This project is something we have wanted to put together for sometime to bring all of our communities together,” said Carole Appleton, Assistant to the GM. “With the support of Aaron’s , Westover Air Reserve Base, and Barnes Air National Guard Base, we are thrilled to be the vehicle for this special event.”

The Break Out the Blue Night will include a very special program, Ticket for the Troops. The program, recently completed by the Falcons’ NHL affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers, encourages season ticket holders, corporate partners and fans to donate tickets or funds for area troops and their families.

“Aaron’s is thrilled to be a partner with the Falcons on this special event,” said David Edwards, President & COO of SEI/Aaron’s. “As a company, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the troops and we can’t wait to see the "Nest" all in blue for February 8th.”

Companies, cities/towns, schools and teams are encouraged to sign up to win a visit from a Falcons player by registering and participating in Breaking Out the Blue through the Falcons website, www.falconsahl.com. Those who wish to donate to Tickets for the Troops, should contact Carole Appleton at 413-739-3344, x.112.

“Break Out the Blue is a generous gesture, recognizing the vital role our Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines play in our national defense,” said Maj. Jennifer Christovich, Chief, Public Affairs, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee. “It is nice to be a part of something that has such a huge impact on the morale of our servicemen and women and their families.”

If you know of any troops that might be interested in participating in ceremonies on February 8th, please have them register on-line at www.falconsahl.com.
