January Meeting News

News from the GSL Meeting held on January 3rd at Amelia Park.

The standings were updated on Wednesday afternoon and several game sheets were missing from last weekend due to the New Year's holiday and the National Day of Mourning for former President Ford. Also, Barbara Wright will be out of town from January 12th to 24th to attend the USA Hockey winter meetings in Florida, there will be standings next week and then none until the 34th of the month.

The Scholarship Committee announced that the the Fred Cusick book signing was a great success and that over $400.00 was raised for the GSL scholarship fund to be presented this spring to graduating seniors planning to attend college in the fall. Application details to follow soon.

The Falcons GSL Player of the Month award for December will be presented on January 13th before the Falcons home game next Saturday night. Nominations are being accepted for the January player of the month to be presented later this month. The deadline for nominations will be Sunday, January 21st.
